What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit. It allows information to be remembered between visits (preferences, statistics, login).
Strictly necessary cookies
• Authentication (Supabase) — stored in your browser's localStorage, it keeps your session logged in. Essential to the operation of the service, it cannot be disabled.
• Consent choice (forge-cookie-consent) — remembers your answer to the cookie banner so we don't ask again on every visit (localStorage).
• Sign-up relay (nl_optin, signup_attr) — short-lived cookies (10 minutes maximum) set only when signing up via Google, to carry your newsletter choice and the sign-up origin page, then deleted immediately.
• App preferences — display and navigation settings stored in your browser's localStorage.
• Session lock (forge_sid, forge_claim) — a token stored in localStorage and a short-lived cookie (2 minutes) set at sign-in, which ensure that only one session is active on your account at a time (protection against account sharing).
Internal functional trackers
• First visit (fp_first_touch) — stores in your browser's localStorage the first page you visited, the site you arrived from (domain name only) and any campaign parameters (utm). This strictly first-party information is used solely to know the origin of your sign-up if you create an account: it is never shared with any third party, contains no IP address or browsing history, and does not track your journey on the site.
Audience-measurement cookies
• Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_G9WY4HK9V7) — helps us understand how Forge.poker is used (pages visited, session duration, traffic sources) in order to improve the service. These cookies are only placed with your consent and kept for 13 months maximum. No data is used for advertising purposes.
